Purpose: Packaging Supervisor The Packaging Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the packaging department operates smoothly and efficiently by closely monitoring and supporting the packaging team. • Responsibilities:
• Check machine centerlines to confirm machines are operating at their best and are producing high quality products consistently
• Ensure machine rates are maintained throughout department
• Balance line inventory after a packaging job is complete to make sure they are correct in Barrett's ERP system, Plex
• True-up any product over 2,000lb, in Plex, that was not physically consumed
• Help with decisions on scheduling and priorities for packaging lines
• Organize daily staffing of packaging lines
• Schedule & organize packaging team during dry cleans, wet cleans, and down time
• Pet food rework scheduling & staffing
• Verify labels and lot codes on products
• Support packaging leads with decision making
• Hold packaging team accountable to performance and quality expectations
• Coach, reward, and recognize packaging team
• Assigned other duties as needed
