SUMMARY: Supervises the production/packaging line (s) to make sure the operations are as fluent as possible, resetting errors, coordinating operators as needed, and helping with downtime and scrap issues to achieve performance targets. - Always follow all Company Safety policies and procedures.
- Takes all actions and necessary steps to deliver quality products to our customer.
- Communicates daily and any special needs to operations area leader.
- Lead all changeovers to meet the changeover target.
- Responsible for ensuring correct materials are at the production/packaging lines to produce quality products.
- Supports the updating of all required shift documentation such as shift scrap/downtime entries, and all SPQDC reports.
- Assists with continuous improvement projects such as Scrap Reduction, Downtime Reduction, etc...
- Supports Operations Area Leader / Director of Operations that all procedures and policies are followed.
- Develop and record training documentation for hourly employees along with training the personnel of the assigned areas.
- Inform Directors of Operations / Operations Area Leader on any personnel issues or line issues.
- Regulates staffing levels to optimize labor efficiency
- Monitors and records daily attendance of operators along with any performance topics.
- Maintains established GMP's, SQF, HACCP, and housekeeping standards for all work areas on production floor.
- Evaluation and interpretation of production data (Collect and analyze data, making comments and recommendations to Maintenance/Engineering and Quality Department)
- Troubleshoot minor maintenance errors on the machines within production/packaging areas following company procedures and policies.
- Supports Maintenance on emergency machine repairs
