SUMMARY Retrieve decimal, locate inventory, determine standard pack using plex, use counting scales and computer. Be able to lift pans and totes. And move drums. Also, assumes responsibility for general housekeeping duties and striving toward continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Calibrating their scales before every shift Reads plex wip labels to make sure parts are audited and ready for pack. Follows the shipping clerk pack request white board. Use plex control panel to see how parts are to be packed. Labels boxes or totes based on packing instructions in plex control panel. Merges partials. Which is combining to or more of exact parts to possibly creating the standard pack qty. Looks for partials or boxes in inventory, so that the mtl handler can bring the packer the previously packed inventory. Cleans pack table after every different part number. Restocks bags and boxes at the pack station at the end of every shift. Sweeps and cleans workstation at the end of every shift. Be able to lift containers like totes and pans weighing up to 35lbs. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to work well with others. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Forklift license not necessary OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to use scanners and computers.
