Packer - Silgan Containers Corporation : Job Details

Duties include inspecting and packing bottles at standard rate on assigned line(s). Responsible for general housekeeping. Assisting in scrap removal and grinding. May be required to tape and unitize cartons .. Quality. Complete required information on exception reports as indicated per procedure. Communication and reporting of non-conforming ware or problems noted during shift to next shift. Responsible for knowledge of quality standards, specifications, and quality complaints. General understanding of quality requirements for all containers. Personal inspection of product quality .. Safety. Responsible for enforcing safety policies and reporting safety violations. Know and apply written safety procedures Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts or situations. Maintain clean work areas .. Production. Train new personnel on job requirements.
