SHIFT: 1st shift - Tuesday to Saturday (6AM to 430PM) PAYRATE: $14.00 SUMMARY: The Packer is responsible for the packaging of quality products efficiently, accurately, and on time for various product families. Ensure product is clean and defect free. Provides basic support to the Machine Operator. RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure the correct packaging is used for specific products and packaged within the company standards.Inspect packaged products ensuring lot numbers and expiration dates are accurate.Report faulty packaging or quality issues to the machine operator and lead.Move completed boxes of products to the correct inventory area.Work at different stations as production requires.Using Good Documentation Practices, ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.Adhere to all Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to produce a quality good that can be safely delivered to our customers.Follow all required work safety practices. This would include wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.Effective verbal communication skills, being fluent and proficient in the English language. (Bilingual is a plus).Must be able to work in an environment where you are exposed to sensitive food ingredients and allergens.Work well in a face paced and always changing manufacturing environment.Possess basic math skills including counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.Required to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal Checks).EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience within the food and beverage industry is preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Constantly (minimum of 8 hrs., but up to 10 hrs) stand and use hands/fingers to handle/feel per shift.Requires occasional (up to 3 hrs.) walking and reaching below shoulder level per shift. Occasionally (up to 3 hrs.) lift, carry, push, or pull up to thirty (30) pounds.
