Packer - Sika : Job Details

Job Description

• Take direction from Team Leader and/or Supervisor
• Follow schedule created by the Planner/Scheduler
• Complete manufacturing orders quickly, accurately and carefully
• Accurately label containers as required, making sure labels are clean in appearance, free from wrinkles and match manufacturing instruction
• Accurately label boxes including ingredient labels as required
• Adopt good housekeeping practices such as cleaning, organizing and removing trash
• Immediately report and clean spills
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Verify batch numbers and product descriptions match manufacturing orders
• Accurately count containers, place in boxes or on skids in a safe, orderly and efficient manner
• Clean vessels, tools, containers and work area well to assure residual material is not present
• Upon completion of a manufacturing order, remove bulk containers, skids and excess packaging to maintain inventory accuracy
• Operate fork truck in a safe, cautious manner
• Accurately account for time on time sheets and manufacturing orders
• Accurately account for packaging or production supplies used
• Wear appropriate safety equipment
• Supporting other areas of production as designated by the Manufacturing Manager (shipping, receiving, packaging, deliveries)

• Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
• Needs to be able to work on his/her own or with other employees.
• Weber label software
• EZ-label software
• Word / Excel
• Maintenon label inventory
• Dependability – requires being reliable, responsible and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
• Attention to Detail – Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work task
