This position is responsible for productivity of the manufacturing extrusion line(s) while fostering a work environment that supports safety, productivity, quality, teamwork, and the Reschcor company culture and core values. Position Overview
- Balances safety, quality, productivity, and morale to achieve positive results within the cell.
- Works to continuously improve in all areas.
- Assists with achieving daily production requirements and accurately reporting these results.
- Participates in and actively supports the facility safety systems.
- Understands and utilizes the Quality Management system.
- Troubleshooting machinery/equipment.
- Follow up on production and quality issues with direction of Shift Supervisor and Production Manager and Quality Manager.
- Practices 5s and lean manufacturing principles and is responsible to assure that lean practices are being maintained within the cell.
Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to read Reschcor prints and quality expectations
- Ability to read and understand work order information
- Ability to perform basic quality checks using gages and required measuring tools
- Demonstrated ability to calculate with basic arithmetic and metrology, using measuring instruments such as rulers, tape measure and other quality tools at the line.
- Responsible for packaging product neatly and accurately according to the packaging instructions
- Ability to operate common packaging equipment
- Responsible for keeping their extrusion line(s) clean and organized following 5s guidelines
- Responsible for any additional fabrication that is required on a specific extrusion line
- Responsible to package product on extrusion lines as required by supervisor
- Responsible to assist in breaking other packers when possible.
- Perform necessary process checks including but not limited to box counts, audits, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsQualifications Include
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
- Experience in plastics is preferred but not required
- Proficient with basic arithmetic
- Able to read and interpret documents related to quality and packaging
- Able to navigate and input data into Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Able to navigate and input data into ERP system, preferably IQMS
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, walk up and down stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
12 Hour Schedule
- Great schedule with 3 days working one week and 4 days the next.
- Each employee works every other weekend.
- Considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination is required
