(2) Packer/Stacker NIGHT Shift Temp to Hire Monday - Thurs, 4:30 pm - 2:30 am, 10 hr shifts $13.00/hr PACKERPURPOSE - Ensures that manufactured items are ready for shipment by working on the assembly line placing finished products into the appropriate packaging, seals, and labels to prepare the item for transport. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Package finished goods into designated boxes at the correct quantity quickly and efficiently before sending down the production line
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity and cleanliness of container before packaging
  • Ensure product is sealed, boxed, and labeled with appropriate materials
  • Send case through tape machine
  • Check that case has correct product label and production code.
  • Monitor line equipment for proper operation during production
  • Identify, dispose, and report problems or machine issues that prevent making a quality product
  • Ability to be on pace with machine output and line flow
  • Monitor line production in order to detect and report quality issues with the final product
  • Provide assistance and breaks to any and all positions on the production line when needed
  • Actively participate in and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging
  • Maintain a clean working area
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Adhere to all food safety guidelines and procedures
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations of all company regulatory agencies.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Perform all tasks as directed by direct supervisor or other management.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures created to ensure the production of high-quality food-safe products.
STACKERPURPOSE - Responsible for hand stacking finished cartons of various sizes and weights from production conveyors onto appropriate pallets for shipping, while ensuring all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met and maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Obtain empty pallets and position to the production line.
  • Retrieve sealed cases of various products from conveyor and hand stack cases on appropriate pallet according to the appropriate stack pattern
  • Check that product is coded with the correct production date, product label, and production code.
  • Notify Forklift Operator to remove full pallets or transport full pallet of finish goods to auto-stretch wrap machine with pallet jack to be wrapped
  • Identify equipment malfunctions and request service from the maintenance department
  • Keep work area clear and clean, check pallets for integrity, remove damaged pallets and place trash in proper receptacle as required
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and turn in all required paperwork
  • Ability to be on pace with machine output and line flow
  • Ability to train new employees on any packaging related tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel
  • Assist co-workers with stacking, sorting, and packaging as needed
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPENTENCIES-
  • Must be available to work outside of normal schedule.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds for a constant 8 hours.
  • Must be able to lift and move wooden pallets weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, and twist for long periods of time.
  • Ability to adjust body movements to keep pace with speed changes of moving boxes/cases and general labor
DRESS CODE/OTHER: - Overall - - Navy blue Lofton shirts, jeans/khaki pants (no rips/tears/embellishments), Steel toe boots must be worn
  • Issued Badges must be worn on waist/belt loop
  • Must remove any piercings and fake nails/lashes
  • Need to be aware that they will be dealing with strong seasonings and can't be sensitive/food allergies for gluten.
  • Very little smoke breaks.
  • Must keep good personal hygiene to include NO odors/perfume, NO piercings, NO false eyelashes, and NO fake/long fingernails.
  • Need to wear navy Lofton shirts with NO pockets or buttons, kakis
  • Phones must be on silent and can only be used during lunch and break times.
  • Food & Safety training will be provided.
Requirements: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess the reading, writing, and arithmetic skills necessary to perform the position's tasks. Must have clear Drug Screen and Background Results Job Type: Temp to Hire Post Date: 12/16/2024
