Job Description :
PACKING ASSOCIATEAPPARATUS is a New York-based designer and manufacturer of a distinctive catalog of high-end, high-touch lighting, furniture and objects. We produce both in-house and with the support of high-quality external partners; our catalog is sold globally.This role is responsible for hand-packaging fixtures in our New York production facility with a high level of skill and within production timelines.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Perform production duties, including: transport, wrap and box product, build boxes and crates, mold foam according to SOPs and work instructions, and prepare products, as needed.
  • Produce consistent and high-quality work, on-time and according to department standards.
  • Learn new products and techniques.
  • Meet the output and quality goals.
  • Communicate with department leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe workspace; contribute to overall department organization.
  • Comply with all Company policies.
  • Support company initiatives and projects on an as-needed basis.
SKILLS
  • ntermediate-level packing and care and handling skills.
  • Trained in quality control inspection and care and handling standards.
  • Able to accurately read and follow work instructions.
  • Able to quickly learn and retain knowledge through instruction and hands-on practice.
  • Highly skilled manual dexterity, use of tools and equipment.
  • Able to perceive color and depth of field; and match hue, value, intensity, translucency and texture.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization.
  • Demonstrate a positive commitment to feedback.
  • Able to routinely raise arms over head, reach, bend and regularly lift up to 50 pounds (and occasionally more).
  • Able to work standing for an extended period of time.
  • Able to climb a ladder.
  • Able to wear appropriate protective equipment and abide by safety policies and guidelines while working with any hazardous materials/equipment.
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Desire to learn and grow.
  • Experience in a high-paced environment that values service, efficiency, and output.
  • High school diploma or GED.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Full-time studio hours: Monday-Friday between 8:00AM-5:00PM.
  • Longer hours and weekend availability as needed.
PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND CHECK-INS SCHEDULE
  • Initial skills review will take place 30 days from start date.
  • Regular check-ins.
  • Annual performance reviews.
