INTERNSHIP POSITION SUMMARY

The Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a part-time Donor Programs & Events Intern in the spring of 2025. This paid internship will be in the spring of 2025 for 12 weeks February through May and scheduled 15-20 hours per week. The candidate must have evening and weekend availability.

The Donor Programs & Events Intern will play a crucial role in supporting and executing our events seamlessly and ensuring that every detail aligns with the Art Museums mission and goals. The intern will support the museums philanthropy department by assisting with donor programs, events, and related administrative tasks. This internship will provide an opportunity for the postholder to gain hands-on experience in non-profit fundraising, events planning, and donor relations.

ESSENTIAL INTERNSHIP FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working under the overall direction of the Associate Director of Donor Programs & Events, duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in planning and organizing donor events, including galas, receptions, and museum member-exclusive events
  • Support event details, logistics, setup, catering arrangements, and guest registration.
  • Coordinate with various vendors and volunteers to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Assist in collection and processing of attendee feedback for future events.
  • Update and maintain donor databases, track RSVPs, and manage guest lists.
  • Assist with donor relations and general administrative needs and department support as they arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  • Upper-level undergraduate student or new graduate with a degree in events planning, hospitality, arts administration, or in a related program or field of study.
  • Previous experience in planning and managing event logistics, budgets, and strategy preferred.
  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with various and diverse groups of people.
  • Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Evening and weekend availability is required.
  • Strong ability to multi-task efficiently, with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation details: 12-15 Hourly Wage
