Painter/Assembler II Location: North America, USA, TulsaRef: JOHNCRANENA02061Division: John CraneJob Function: OperationsJob Description The painter function is responsible for painting steel pressure vessels, stands and components within an on-site painting booth.Duties & Responsibilities • Processes products to the John Crane paint specification procedure or customer specified spec.• Preparation of parts, pieces, assemblies for painting, including loading/unloading parts for prep. Mixes coatings per manufacturer specs. Stores unused paint.• Maintain accurate logs of all transactions and update logs in a timely manner, i.e. labor reporting, Paint logs, and Mill thickness recordings. • Maintains and cleans paint equipment and paint areas.• May be required to train other employees and help in other departments as directed.• Work closely with supervisors and managers to complete assigned painting projects.• Utilize high-volume and low-pressure (HVLP) paint spray equipment.• Function effectively in a team and ensure the quality of all painted surfaces.• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and housekeeping. • Should be familiar with the proper disposal of paint and must maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and housekeeping.The Individual • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience with industrial painting is required. Prefers 2-3 years of industrial painting experience. • Must be self-driven. • Ability to read specs of each work order and attention to detail.#ZR
