* A valid Journeyman Painter card; **AND**

* At least five years full-time paid experience as a Painter, which must include washing, scraping, burning, sandpapering

surfaces preparatory to painting; painting both the interior and exterior of buildings; painting wooden and metal surfaces

with a brush and spray gun; puttying small defects in woodwork; replacing broken glass in windows;

refinishing furniture; and erecting and working from scaffolding to paint buildings; **OR**

* Completion of a formal apprentice training program for the painter trade.
