Please follow this link for a closer look at what it's like to work at Children's Wisconsin: Performs interior and exterior painting and refinishing duties according to standard procedures, as well as, duties of Facilities Technician as needed.
- High school education or equivalent.
- One year painting experience in a commercial or residential application. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to read to follow written assignments, manufacture's directions, and colorant charts. Knowledge of painting techniques, uses of paints and other surface coating material (i.e. oils, bases, varnishes, etc. usually acquired through special training in vocational school.
- Requires knowledge of painting procedures as well as skill in using equipment and materials when performing moderately complex, multiple step painting procedures.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, ability to be insured by CHW carrier in order to travel to off-site location when necessary.
- Ability to exercise judgment in selecting proper equipment and supplies and methods of application to be used.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to discuss work procedures with employees in other departments.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details while preparing surfaces for painting and mixing paints.
- Requires the visual ability to distinguish between closely matched colors.
