Painter - Asheville City Schools : Job Details

The School System Painter is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance and overall condition of school buildings by applying paint and other finishes. This position requires a keen eye for detail, knowledge of various painting techniques, and the ability to work efficiently to ensure that the school facilities present a clean and visually appealing environment. Essential Job Function: Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and repairing holes as needed. Ensure that surfaces are smooth and ready for paint application. Paint Application: Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to a variety of surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, and trim. Select appropriate painting tools and techniques based on the surface and type of finish required. Use brushes, rollers, and sprayers to achieve the desired finish.
