Position Summary: As the Palliative Care Practice Leader (MD/DO), you will provide medical leadership and oversight to our interdisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality care to patients with serious illnesses. Your role will involve direct patient care, program development, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the palliative care team in providing holistic, patient-focused care. Develop and implement strategies to grow palliative care practice. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, and chaplaincy services. Provide expert consultation in symptom management, end-of-life care, and advance care planning. Educate and mentor clinical staff to improve their knowledge in palliative care principles. Foster relationships with community partners, hospitals, and referral sources. Ensure compliance with medical and ethical standards. Qualifications: MD or DO degree with board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Active and unrestricted California medical license. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in palliative care, with leadership or administrative experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage interdisciplinary teams. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Passion for patient advocacy and improving quality of life for seriously ill patients.
