Panel Assembly Technician Purpose: Meet customer needs through the safe and efficient assembly of electrical control panels, valve automation components, and other related hardware. Each panel is typically customized, attention to detail is key here.Panel Assembly Technician Success Factors:Safely and efficiently produce products meeting expectations for quality.Maintain the physical shop environment to ensure safety, organization, and efficiency.Successfully perform assigned tasks in various roles, including electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, and warehouse.Effectively support facilities-related matters to assure proper operation of systems and maintain integrity of the facility and grounds, as assigned.Attention to detailCoachabilityPride in product and completionTeam playerPanel Assembly Technician Responsibilities:Performance of complex mechanical assembly working from engineering drawings.Consistent, safe use of shop tools, including hand tools, fork truck, hoist, pneumatic tools, etc.Electrical assembly working from schematics, wiring diagrams, and verbal instruction.Use of dimensional measurement / layout techniques in support of electrical panel layout.Working in a professional manner across all levels of the organization.Maintaining shop area in a safe, clean, orderly, and efficient condition.Assisting with facility, warehouse, and maintenance projects as requested.Assisting in the training of other employees as requested.May assist with field service work at offsite locations.Panel Assembly Technician Skills/Qualifications:High School diploma or GED required.At least one year of experience in an electrical and/or mechanical assembly role preferred.Consistently puts safety first in the shop environment.Able to operate standard shop equipment, including forklifts, hoists, pneumatic tools, etc.Competent in the use of personal computers, email communications, and navigating between various windows and programs.Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.Able to stand, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, lift, and walk for extended periods of time.Able to lift / manipulate products up to 75 pounds.Panel Assembly Technician Working Conditions:This position is typically performed in a shop environment with minimal exposure to adverse weather conditions. On occasion, Assembly Technicians may be requested to perform duties at customer locations, where exposure to outdoor weather is likely. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required in shop or field locations to mitigate risk to personal safety. Applied Control Equipment promotes a smoke-free environment.Panel Assembly Technician Compensation:Hourly Wage: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour. Most candidates with less than 5 years of experience will be hired at a rate between $24.00-28.00 per hour. Prior work or industry experience, job-related education, and unique skills will be taken into consideration when setting the wage rate.Other: Eligible for additional compensation including overtime and an annual profit share award.
