About the Position We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to provide critical administrative support to our Legal and Compliance team and the firm. You will work alongside seasoned colleagues, learning how to maintain and develop databases, and managing the many aspects that keep our systems and processes running smoothly. Additionally, you'll serve as a key liaison between our team and the rest of the firm, often acting as the first point of contact with various Jane Street stakeholders, including traders and technologists. Additional responsibilities of the role will include:
- Managing, maintaining, and organizing databases
- Supporting our team's daily operations, including collecting signatures, blacklining, proofreading, scanning, and completing forms
- Reviewing legal and compliance documentation, such as: onboarding documents, Powers of Attorney, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other contracts you will be responsible for filing in the database
- Facilitating the collection and provision of data to various stakeholders in connection with their projects
About You
- Undergraduate degree and 3+ years of paralegal experience required
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a strong independent work ethic
- Organized and able to handle competing priorities; thrives in a challenging and fast-paced work environment
- Able to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
- Strong communicator with great people skills
- Experienced with, or interested in, learning different databases and project management tools
- Reliable, courteous and flexible team player
- Highly skilled with MS Word, Excel, G-Suite, and web-based portals
- Licensed notary or willing to become one
