Schedule: Full-Time Salary Range: USD $56000.00 - $101000.00 Job Category: Legal Pay Philosophy The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role. Description Liberty Mutual Insurance has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our team and provide legal support to attorneys and professionals on litigation, corporate or business matters. This role is within Enterprise Legal Centralized Subpoena Unit. Responsibilities: Provide legal support to attorneys and professionals on litigation, corporate or business matters, with moderate supervision. Support internal and external business process efforts, assisting attorneys and clients. Develop a working knowledge of company resources sufficient to facilitate document management, respond to requests and inquiries, and interact with clients and policyholders. Conduct basic legal and factual research. Assist in drafting legal documents, analyzing facts and recognizing legal and business issues. Effectively manage deadlines. Review file material to prepare non-party discovery responses. Note: The work arrangement for this position will be remote; however, residing in Indianapolis or Carmel, IN, is a plus. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, in addition to 1+ years of working experience as a paralegal, legal secretary or a related role. Paralegal certificate strongly preferred. Ability to perform basic legal research, writing and analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with attorneys and clients. Requires strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail. Ability to exercise independent judgment and to effectively prioritize work. Must display effective use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and corporate and legal databases.
