Job Overview: Our client, a $10B credit-focused alternative investment manager, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their legal and compliance team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in corporate law, private equity, or finance-related legal work and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents, including investment agreements, NDAs, and corporate filings.
  • Maintain and update entity formation and governance documentation for the firm and its affiliates.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on matters related to transactions, due diligence, and litigation.
  • Manage deadlines and filings related to fund formation, SEC filings, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Support the compliance team in ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files, including contracts and corporate records.
  • Provide support for special projects, including internal audits, investor relations, and legal training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, with exposure to private equity, credit, or financial services preferred.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, fund formation, and compliance matters.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
