Job Overview: Our client, a $10B credit-focused alternative investment manager, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their legal and compliance team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents, including investment agreements, NDAs, and corporate filings.
- Maintain and update entity formation and governance documentation for the firm and its affiliates.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on matters related to transactions, due diligence, and litigation.
- Manage deadlines and filings related to fund formation, SEC filings, and other regulatory obligations.
- Support the compliance team in ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files, including contracts and corporate records.
- Provide support for special projects, including internal audits, investor relations, and legal training initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, with exposure to private equity, credit, or financial services preferred.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, fund formation, and compliance matters.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
