• Assist student participation within the daily classroom routine
• Assist in transitions between activities
• Provide group and/or individualized guided practice with classroom tasks, when needed, under the direction of the teacher
• Facilitate self-directed learning and independence for the student within the general education setting
• Provide assistance when needed to the student for daily tasks, including assisting with bathroom needs
• Lead in the transition of the ECSE program to resource room time under the direction of the teacher
• Any other duties as assigned by building principal (including transportation supervision before and after school)

Qualifications:

• Minimum associates degree or 2 years of college (equal to 60 semester hours) or successful completion of the MTTC Basic Skills or WorkKeys or ETS Parapro Assessment
• Show evidence of good health
• Self-directed individual
• Ability and willingness to work with professional teaching staff
• Strong verbal/language and mathematics skills
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds of weight
