Administrative - Professional-Technical - Other Job Number 200####### Start Date Open Date 08/06/2024 Closing Date FAMILY SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATORSUMMARY DESCRIPTIONUnder the direction of the Family School Partnerships Administrator, plans, coordinates and directs the District's programs and professional learning for family engagement. The incumbent is responsible for the Family Graduate Program at seven (7) schools. Incumbent performs related work as required.EXEMPLARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops, implements, maintains and evaluates all components of family-school partnerships program through the following activities and responsibilities: provides program management and technical assistance for various programs including Parent Teacher Home Visit Project, Academic Parent Teacher Teams, Parent Portal Outreach, High School Family Graduation Advocates and professional learning for staff on family engagement; collects, process, reports and analyzes data from the various projects above, utilizes student achievement data and district demographics to allocate resources and support; provides schools technical assistance on the family engagement portion of the WCSD School Performance Framework, provides and/or arranges training for all principals and selected school staff in family engagement in education; supports Area Superintendents, Principals and other department leaders to coordinate, support and integrate school priorities; assists schools to develop objectives and activities for increasing family engagement as it relates to student achievement; provides and/or arranges academic-based classes in such subjects as assisting with student learning at home, preparing for parent-teacher conferences, maintaining high expectations, understanding complex educational topics and assessment data; supports the District's Parent University and the works in partnership with committees from the district's Council on Family Engagement to share decision making and ensure parent voice in district initiatives; maintains a list of parents and community members who are willing and interested in serving on District committees; supervises on-call staff and participate in the evaluation process; responsible for multiple budgets; data management; request subs as needed and processes stipends; de-briefs staff on Program activities and completes assessments of the program and its efficiency; coordinates the Home Visit Project which supports 33 schools and the Saturday Cafes; the incumbent supervises several staff and performs supervisory duties; provides opportunities for business, community and teachers to work as a team to collaborate and explore ideas for family engagement; and develops an evaluation system for each of the aforementioned processes and programs above.EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be:
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Education,- Sociology, Public Relations, Psychology or related field;
AND
- Experience: Three (3) years of experience in family engagement; OR
- Course work in Education, Sociology, Public Relations, Psychology or related field and five (5) years of experience in education working with a parent-teacher organization or other similar volunteer organization is qualifying.
