Salary: Starting at $50,333.00 (Nonexempt) About the Position: With supervision, determine parent training needs, develop and deliver a variety of training programs to biological, adoptive, post adoptive, and foster parents. Follow up with participants to assess how training objectives have translated into behavioral changes while ensuring children are in safe, nurturing homes. A Typical Day as a Parent Training Manager:
- Develop and train foster, adoptive, and biological parents in topics pertinent to parenting a child.
- Develop and train any child welfare staff on topics pertinent to assisting parents in raising the children in their care.
- Monitor and evaluate all parent training in the child welfare program to ensure it is meeting long-term objectives of the program and the agency.
- Assist with foster parent recruitment and retention activities.
Work Hours: Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based on the availability of youth and families served. Hybrid work is available based on job duties. Does the Following Apply to You?
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Service, or related field. (required)
- 3+ Years of Child Welfare Experience (preferred)
- Child Welfare Licensure (preferred)
Additional Qualifications:
- Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Obtain an insured vehicle
- At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
- Successful completion of DCFS Foundations Training to obtain Child Welfare Licensure
