PARK MANAGERSalary: 115- $ 41,540.00 Minimum SalaryPurpose of ClassificationPerforms supervisory work in support of assigned park, park programs or function. Duties include overseeing park operations, providing the public with information of the park and its amenities. Positions in this class perform routine routine administration and identify needed corrective actions to resolve discrepancies; answer questions; and maintain documents and records.Essential FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.Manages daily operations of parks; oversees maintenance and upkeep of park grounds to include restrooms, fishing pier landscaping, mowing tree trimming, edging, and trash collecting.Oversees maintenance and repair of all facilities within the parks, including numerous bathhouses, three swimming pools, a baseball field, electricalwater services, security lighting and mechanical equipment.Oversees the operation of visitor's registration office, including cash received and income reports, divisions budget and expenditures; prepares employees work and leave schedules; prepares payroll and trains employees.Receives and responds appropriately to complaints from public and elected officials to assure quality control; provides the public with information regarding the amenities of the parks, park hours, fees and park policies.Prepares reports receipts and deposits; copies and/or distributes reports; establishes and maintains both automated and manual accounting records and files; and performs record retention tasks as dictated by County policy.Provides assistance and information to employees, managers, vendors, citizens, local businesses, and/or and other interested parties regarding assigned park functions; serves as liaison between supervisors, vendors, and other departments in regards to the park. Develops and/or explains policies and procedures.Additional FunctionsPerforms other related duties as required.Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in Business Administration or related field; supplemented by two (2) years of experience performing administrative and/or managerial support work in the field of public relations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.ADA CompliancePhysical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert medium physical effort in medium work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of medium weight (20-50 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion at a keyboard or work station.Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals.
