Park Ranger 1-2 - State of Louisiana : Job Details

To enforce all state laws, rules and regulations on a facility operated by the Office of State Parks and provide assistance to visitors. Level of Work:Entry. Supervision Received:Close from a Park Manager or other official or higher level. Supervision Exercised:None, although on small sites the incumbent may oversee the maintenance crew as needed. Location of Work:Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Office of State Parks. May be used by other organizations with approval from the Department of State Civil Service. (such as the Sabine River Authority). Job Distinctions:Differs from Park Ranger 2 by the lack of journeyman level responsibility and authority. Differs from other law enforcement jobs by the confinement of work area to facilities operated by the Office of State Parks.
