In order to be considered for this role, after clicking Apply Now above and being redirected, you must fully complete the application process on the follow-up screen.Job Summary:The Parking Operations Supervisor helps manage the Parking Services Department for various properties throughout the District Detroit and Northern Amphitheaters.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise parking services colleagues (parking and maintenance crews) at various locations.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the director, managers and department's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplining of all parking services colleagues. Also, assists and provides input on colleague perform reviews.
  • Responsible for maintaining department operations (e.g. payroll, event operations, supervisor schedules, generating of reports, etc.).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain department and colleague records and reports.
  • Produce payroll, revenue and other requested reports for the manager, director, other departments, and senior management.
  • Responsible for preparing incident and damage reports.
  • Work closely with Ilitch Holding, Inc Corporate Security to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests and colleagues.
  • Assist other departments when needed to ensure our guest's experiences are extraordinary and memorable. Address complaints and resolve parking issues with colleagues and guests.
  • Act as department representative in construction, repair and preventative maintenance projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assess and determine departmental needs, provide quotes, create purchase orders, and make recommendations to management for approval
  • Monitoring Prepaid Pass sales, event sales, and driving increased event revenue.
  • Answering and monitoring the Corporate inbox and incoming calls to the dispatch line.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Associate's degree in Business or Operations and 2-years' experience involving parking services or event management, of which one year must have been in a supervisory/management capacity; OR any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been achieved.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess effective human relations and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrate readiness to undertake position responsibilities on one's own and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read, understand, and convey technical documents, including but not limited to policies, safety procedures, maintenance instructions and operator manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of computers (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Evidence of problem-solving and the ability to make decisions based on solid business judgments and experience.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Maintain a valid Michigan Driver's License with good driving record.
Working Conditions:
  • Extended periods of standing in all types of weather conditions.
  • Position may require stooping, crouching, or kneeling.
  • Ability to lift of move up to 25 pounds.
  • Position may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicle exhaust.
