Bachelor's degree and certification in special education required.Responsibilities and Duties:- Supports students in developing skills related to goals and objectives in the Individual Service Plan (ISP), including reading, writing, math, and study/organizational skills
- Actively participates in ISP meetings
- Develops goals and objectives
- Enters information into CT SEDS system
- Collects data and report progress
- Communicates with students/parents/teachers/school staff regarding student needs
- Communicates with Department of Student Services and Special Education
Qualifications and Experience:- Bachelor's Degree required
- Special education certification required
- 5 years experience as a special education teacher required
- Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport with students and a personable relationship with teachers
- Ability to understand and support students with high school level curriculum/assignments
- Ability to carry out directions in both oral and written form
Salary & Compensation:- $31 Per Hour
- Up to 12 Hours per Week

- Ability to learn and acquire an understanding of new information, methodologies and techniques and how they apply to school goals and operations
- Memory adequate to perform tasks/assignments given over long periods of time
- Ability to concentrate on a task for more than 60 minutes
