Ivy Tech Bloomington is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Completion Specialist with a passion for education and a commitment to enhancing degree completions. In this vital role, you will ensure that degrees are awarded promptly and accurately by coordinating communication with students, faculty, and staff about graduation status. You will also review graduation records to determine eligibility and support the institution's completion goals. Join us in making a difference in student success!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Graduation Application Review:
Review student graduation applications to ensure eligibility and communicate application statuses with students promptly and efficiently.
Update and maintain accurate degree completion statuses within the Banner student information system, ensuring that records are current and complete.
Degree Mining List Review:
Use Microsoft Excel to filter, sort, and analyze lists of potential degree completions provided by the Systems Office Student Records Team.
Identify students who may be eligible for degree awards and take appropriate action to facilitate their graduation.
Communication and Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to degree completion, tracking student progress, and communicating status updates to students, faculty, and staff.
Collaborate with academic and faculty advisors to resolve any issues preventing students from completing their degrees, ensuring proactive follow-up where needed.Ensure all communication aligns with institutional policies and is conducted within the parameters of FERPA.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with student information systems.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Demonstrated commitment to customer service and student success.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in higher education, particularly in student records or academic advising.
* Familiarity with Banner or similar student information systems.
* Knowledge of FERPA regulations
