The South Branch Inn is preparing to open the South Branch Smokehouse and is currently looking for an experienced Cook to begin work in September of 2024 when our new restaurant opens!

You will be responsible for making sure that the restaurant guest have an exceptional dining experience.

COMPENSATION: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour depending on experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards

  • Ensure that all food items are cooked to the required temperature

  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and adhere to health and safety regulations

  • Receive, store, and rotate stock items in accordance with established procedures

  • Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality

  • Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure that it meets the highest standards

  • Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items

  • Assist in the training of new cooks

  • Preparing and serving food and drinks to customers.

  • Assembling and packing food orders in carry-out containers and bags

  • Following all food safety guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent

  • Previous experience as a cook in a fast food setting

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures

  • Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds

  • Ability to work as a team environment..

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
