The Part-Time Instructor, CNA/PCA for the Secondary Career Center program beginning the spring semester, January 2021. The assignment would be teaching CNA/PCA+ to high school (secondary students) located at the Farmington Satellite Campus. This semester also includes at least 24 hours of mandatory clinical time in local facilities that will be scheduled and supervised by the instructor. The curriculum is determined by the Arkansas Office of Long Term Care.Rate of pay: $4,168 per semester
Required Qualifications
Instructor needs to be a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of two (2) years nursing experience including at least one (1) year of long-term care nursing services within the last five (5) years. Experience may include, but is not limited to, employment in a nursing assistant education program or supervision of nursing students in a nursing facility or unit, geriatrics department (excluding geriatric psychiatry), long-term acute care hospital, home care, hospice care or other long-term care setting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution is a plus. Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority. Instructional experience and leadership experience at a community college is a priority. Ability to use an on-line platform. On-line delivery of instruction, use of technology for instruction, and experience or interest in project based, service learning, or inquiry based learning will be given special consideration.
