**Description**

This general warehouse position is primarily assigned to the shipping function. Additional cross-training in order filling and receiving/stocking functions may also be required according to business need. Cross-training may require certification to operate powered equipment; including, tuggers, forklifts, high reach forklifts, shrink wrap units, both electric and manual pallet jacks. Staff members assigned to a general warehouse position should be prepared to work in any department for any duration of time based on business need.

The shipping assignment requires the preparation of member orders for shipment and loading member orders onto a trailer. Shipping responsibilities fall into several functions; including, identifying and sorting member orders from a revolving sort loop onto shipping carts; assembling member orders according to Shipping Check Sheet; loading trailers either manually or using a forklift; operating a tugger to tow member orders from various departments to the shipping dock; unloading and processing a return goods; packing and processing small parcel shipments. This position may also be required to prepare LTL and small parcel items for shipment with outside carriers including, but not limited to UPS, Fed Ex, etc. These team members may also be required to process return goods, issue member credits and stock returns. A general warehouse position with a primary assignment as a shipper may assist with receiving, stocking, order filling, housekeeping, and other duties as required.

**Education and Experience**

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

**Skills and Abilities**

Ability to follow safe work instructions and safety training

Ability to be certified on various powered equipment

Ability to meet or exceed productivity standards

Willingness to assist other departments and functions as necessary

Ability to work additional hours as necessary

Ability to perform simple math calculations

Ability to meet or exceed quality standards

Ability to stack or re-stack items onto a trailer for delivery

Ability to load and secure all outbound freight for delivery

Ability to complete all shipping paperwork and confirm accuracy

**Physical Requirements**

Must be able to repeatedly lift items ranging from 10-40lbs

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 60lbs

Must be able to assist in team lifts from 75 lbs to over 100lbs

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, pull, stoop

Must be able to perform work at floor level, waist level or above shoulders
