**Description**

The Cashier/Hostess or Host, is responsible for prompt, friendly, courteous, and professional service to our guest. Control the operation of the room during busy periods and have the ability to adjust guest seating flow in a manner as to balance guests among the various service stations. Graciously greets guests upon arrival, escorts the guest to their table, provide menus to them and inform the guest of their servers name. Manage special seating request of guests consistent with table availability. Keeping the servers and bus personal well informed of new guests as they are seated.

Ensure an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements. Receive cash drawer at beginning of work shifts and count money in drawer at beginning and end of shift to verify its accuracy. Itemize and total food and beverage orders, ring food and beverage checks into register. Collect cash, check, or credit card payments from guest, make proper change for cash transactions, along with using proper procedures when guest pay by check, and prepares voucher for credit card purchases.

* Receives cash bank at beginning of work shift and verifies accuracy by counting money in cash drawer. Ensure an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements during your shift.

* Graciously greets guest upon arrival and escorts them to a table, balancing the guest flow among the service stations, taking into account requests for a particular table or server depending on availability.

* Check table setting for proper presentation and completeness.

+ When seating a guest make sure you have the correct table settings if not bring the correct amount.

* Assist with seating and once seated provide menus to guests and inform them their servers name.

* Be able to describe all specials, menu items, and pricing.

* Relaying information to the food servers and bus personal that you have seated guests.

* When guest is exiting itemize and total guest food and beverage purchases, collecting guests check, cash or credit card following all procedures regarding verification.

* Relaying any dissatisfaction that a guest might have with their meal or services immediately to a supervisor before the guest departs. Supervisor will then attempt to rectify the problem before the guest departs to assure future business.

* Must possess basic math skills and have ability to handle money accurately.

* Basic knowledge of a computerized cash register system.

* Turn in your cash register bank and completed paperwork at end of shift.

* Guest Satisfaction is PRIORITY ONE.
