Taylor Hospitality is looking for a Part Time Housekeeping Laundry Attendant to work at the newly renovated Tygart Hotel in Elkins, WV.

As a Laundry Attendant, you play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and quality of our linens and towels. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness contribute to the overall satisfaction of our guests.

Compensation: Starting pay of $12.50 per hour

Essential Job Functions:

  • Washing and drying all soiled linen from guest rooms, kitchen, and banquets.
  • Avoiding overloading washers or dryers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Working closely with Banquet personnel to ensure linens are cleaned and ready for upcoming events.
  • Stocking linen closets and assisting with linen inventory.
  • Reporting to work on time for scheduled shifts and wearing the assigned uniform throughout the shift.
  • Assisting Room Attendants by gathering dirty linens from check-out rooms when requested.
  • Maintaining open communication to enhance the quality of hotel operations.
  • Coordinating with the Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and providing assistance when needed.
  • Cleaning lint traps from dryers and sweeping and mopping laundry floors.
  • Ensure all equipment is placed in the appropriate location before leaving.
  • Sweet the floor and empty all trash receptacles daily.
  • Understand all standards of room/suite cleanliness.
  • Consistently clean assigned rooms/suites to the standards of cleanliness for the brand.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas. Lobby, guest bathrooms, hallways, stairs, elevator, etc. to be cleaned daily.

Qualifications:

  • Prior housekeeping experience desired.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Comfortable working with a team.
  • Verbal communication and organization skills.
