Part-Time Maintenance Assistant

The Exeter Housing Authority is accepting applications for a part-time Maintenance Assistant. The ideal candidate will be professional, courteous and experienced in property maintenance and repair. Responsibilities include grounds and building maintenance repair, vacant unit preparation, cleaning and painting. Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical is required. As a condition of employment, a background check, drug/alcohol screening, a valid driver's license and after hours on-call availability is required. Competitive hourly rate and some benefits.

Hourly rate of $20-$23 dependent on experience

The Exeter Housing Authority (EHA) is a public housing agency serving Exeter and surrounding towns. EHA's mission is to provide safe, decent and affordable housing to income-eligible households. The EHA manages a public housing program that consists of 107 apartments that EHA owns and manages and a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program that consists of 173 rental assistance vouchers. The EHA is overseen by a 5 member Board of Commissioners and managed by a professional staff. Commissioners are appointed by the Town Select Board for 5 year terms. Funding is provided primarily from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and revenues derived from rents and fees.
