The position involves assisting with reading and tutoring and providing driving support. They are looking for a long-term commitment and flexibility to meet the family's evolving needs.

• Schedule: As needed - or once per week
  • Care needs may progress over time
• Start date: ASAP
• End date: Long-term
• Rate: $20-$25/hr
• 1 Child: 11 years old

Responsibilities

• Spend quality time with an 11-year-old doing fun activities around the house and in the community.
• Assist with reading and tutoring to help improve literacy skills.
• Provide transportation for the child when needed (driving).
• Occasionally assist with backup care during weekends or school closures.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of paid, professional childcare experience
• Has a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (driving needed on weekends and school closures, as needed).
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Foster care experience preferred, or willingness to work within the foster care system (live fingerprinting required)
• Experience with tutoring, especially in reading and literacy.
• Comfortable with dietary restrictions (no pork, no gelatin, no gluten in the home).

Compensation + BenefitsThis position pays $20-$25 per hour and family is looking for 3-4 hours per visit, with potential for increased weekly hours, as time goes on.
