Valley Healthcare System, Inc., formerly known as Community Health Center of South Columbus, has been providing medical, dental, outreach services, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to residents from the Chattahoochee Valley region and beyond since August 1994. The organization has grown to offer a wide range of services to the community and is located in Columbus, GA.
Role Description
This is a part-time role for an Outreach Driver at Valley Healthcare System, Inc. The Outreach Driver will be responsible for driving the van, car and RV's, ensuring compliance, communicating effectively with team members, and providing excellent customer service. The driver will be responsible for transporting patients and staff to and from our facility in a safe and professional manner.
Salary: $16.16/hr

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Transport patients and stqaff in a safe and professional manner.
* Aids the outreach staff in conducting community service events
* Communicates with staff in order to receive relevant data and instructions.
* Maintain a professional behavior, and attitudes in regards to customers, visitors, and coworkers.
* Completion of vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport.
* Capable of understanding directions and the ability to read and use maps accurately
* Make deliveries of supplies from the facility to out reach events.
* Perform all related duties as assigned by the facilities manager and Valley Healthcare System.
Evaluation: The evaluation of work performance, including: specific duties, responsibilities, demeanor, and work ethic, will be ongoing and implemented by the Operations Director per center policies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license, and good driving record. Must successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures and all Federal, State and Local medical service requirements. To include HIPAA Privacy & Security.

Confidentiality applies to a patient's Personal Health Information (PHI) and includes: written, oral and electronic communications. Security (HIPAA): Every employee is required to protect their computer log-on and password. You must secure your work area prior to leaving it unattended for an extended period of time. You are required to log-off of your computer and secure your work area prior to leaving at the end of the day. If you have a responsibility for closing or locking files, securing equipment, or locking the building and you do not comply with these requirements, you will be subject to reprimand and/or termination based upon the infraction. We are required by law to protect patient privacy, identifiable patient information, and all properties containing such information.
