In support of SUNY Orange's workforce development strategy, the Workforce Solutions unit will support the creation of opportunities focused on providing high-impact solutions to local employers including strengthening their employee's skills and competencies through customized workforce development training and services.
We currently have an urgent specific need for a Part-Time Patient Care Technician (PCT) Instructor for our Newburgh Campus.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Patient Care Technician (PCT) Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in patient care, a passion for teaching, and the ability to inspire and guide students toward becoming skilled, compassionate Patient Care Technicians. As a PCT Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment that prepares students for a successful career in healthcare.
Requirements:
Education Required: Registered Professional Nurse (RN, Associate Degree or Higher)
Experience Required: Minimum of two years experience of direct patient care in a clinical setting or previous teaching or instructional experience in healthcare education.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
* Experience as a Patient Care Technician, CNA, or other similar healthcare roles
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and assess students effectively.
* Excellent organizational, time-management, and adaptability skills, with a commitment to continuous professional development in healthcare education.

Salary: $30-$35 per hour (commensurate with experience) for no more than 29 hours per week
