Job Responsibility:
- Plan, prepare, or carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
- Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
- Examine patients to assess general physical condition.
- Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enter information into computer.
- Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Proficiency in using an electronic medical record system (EMR).
- Assist and care for others, providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support to colleagues and patients.
- Other office and record keeping related duties as required.
- Varying shifts between the following hours: Monday-Thursday 7a-9p, Friday 7a-7p. Weekend rotation.
Job Qualification:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy from an accredited educational program from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education required. Master's/Doctorate Degree, preferred
- Must have valid Physical Therapy license or must have valid permit and become licensed and registered within one year of employment
- Other related certifications
- Minimum two years of physical therapy experience, preferred
