About the Role: As a Childcare Recruitment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring we have a talented and dedicated team of nannies and sitters to meet the diverse needs of our clients. You will be responsible for the entire recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to onboarding and training new hires.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain standard working hours of 8-2 or 9-3, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. You will be working out of our office on Mass Ave in Arlington.
- Master the functionality of various software and platforms, including MyJovie, Google Drive, Discord, MapLine, Paradox, Indeed, Facebook Job Messenger, and Expandshare.
Recruitment:
- Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct Zoom interviews with promising candidates.
- Maintain detailed records of interviews and candidate information in Trello, transferring relevant data to candidate profiles upon hiring decisions.
- Collaborate with the manager to understand staffing needs and specific job objectives.
- Craft and post compelling job descriptions on career websites, Facebook groups, and university job boards (e.g., Handshake).
- Utilize various sourcing techniques, such as databases, social media, and grassroots marketing, to identify and attract qualified candidates.
- Conduct thorough reference checks and document findings in candidate profiles.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine recruiting methods and interview questions.
- Facilitate onboarding sessions for new employees, ensuring completion of Expandshare training and other necessary paperwork.
- Verify accuracy of new hire information, including ID and Social Security numbers, and notify the manager for preparation of necessary paperwork.
- Stay current on evolving recruitment strategies and trends.
- Participate in job fairs and career events, developing a schedule and coordinating with caregivers.
- Work closely with the manager to ensure smooth onboarding and activation of new hires.
- Build comprehensive candidate profiles in MyJovie and update Trello board with progress updates.
- Proactively identify and address potential recruitment challenges and concerns.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of Jovie Boston's recruitment processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) OR minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment or a related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
- Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize multiple deadlines.
- A genuine passion for childcare and supporting families.
- Bi-lingual not required but desired
