Part-Time Retoucher - Solomon Page : Job Details

Our client is looking for an Photo Retoucher for a top fashion company in New York! We are looking for a motivated, experienced e-commerce Retoucher who has experience in all e-commerce product and garment retouching as well as editorial experience. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate! The Retoucher will report to the Photo Studio Manager on day-to-day preparation and management of photo and video files and will retouch, quality control, output multiple specifications, archive, and deliver assets. This position will require: hollow mannequin retouching/compositing, flat lay retouching, on-body model images.

• Pay Rate: $30-36/hour dependent on experience level

Responsibilities:

• Retouching and color correction/consistency quality control of high-resolution images in Photoshop and Lightroom
• Ensure color consistency across all images per product
• Retouch product photography images to a high standard
• Naming and maintaining digital asset file/structure organization and uploading images to web servers

Required Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of retouching experience in a fast-paced studio environment with a high volume of assets daily
• A proven track record of successful e-commerce retouching
• Outstanding Ecommerce and Editorial retouching experience on and off body including: apparel, soft accessories, jewelry, small leather goods, belts, handbags, and beauty
• Must be proficient in Capture One, Photoshop, and file management systems like Web Dam
• Crop images and maintain file size specification guidelines
• File Archiving
• Experience with Pixelz will be a plus
• Ability to work in a high volume studio where priorities shift constantly
• Ability to adapt quickly and follow specific and detailed style guides
• Ability to efficiently complete large batch-style jobs of various types of imagery
• Proactive, motivated, dedicated, and able to take initiative
• Demonstrate initiative to constantly improve the service of the studio team
• Carry out ad hoc duties within art department/editorial when required
• Must be able to collaborate with and receive creative direction from Studio manager, photographer and Art Directors and make corrections when necessary
• Ability to be efficient, adaptable and move quickly through high-volume orders while producing quality work and keeping deadlines
• Must possess great communication and problem-solving skills
• Have a positive and collaborative attitude
