Part Time Safety Specialist - Westinghouse Electric Company : Job Details

Position Description

This is a part time role working 8-10 hour days on Monday and Thursday

General safety duties. Employee interaction, attend safety & pre-job meetings, plant walkdowns to identify safety concerns, evaluate job sites for potential safety issues, coordinate with EHS manager on site for reporting.

Education and Experience

• Inspecting: Checking work environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Lead, coordinate and participate in safety meetings
• Familiarity with OSHA standards / regulations
• Analyzing, creating and implementing procedures to prevent or control risks to workers
• Educating: Teaching workers and employers about workplace safety
• Recommending changes to ensure compliance with safety requirements
