This position processes donated goods in the back room of a store or in the warehouse and provides excellent customer service to our shoppers and donor, while maintaining a clean and well organized work and shopping experience.The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Additional InformationEssential functions and responsibilities:
  • Sort, tag, and price merchandise as instructed.
  • Moves priced merchandise to floor for display and stocking or to the designated shipping location in the warehouse.
  • Assists donors with donations. Complete donation receipts, collect donor information, and track donors.
  • Power sorting donations into the correct bins.
  • Receives ARC trucks and assists to load, unload, and move product to the correct departments.
  • Assist in keeping the sales floor stocked and put new merchandise out as assigned. Work to meet the production goals for the store each day as needed.
  • Must be available for a flexible schedule; full-time or part-time positions will require evening, weekend, and holiday hours
Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School Degree or currently pursuing.Experience: Prior experience preferred, but not requiredSkills/Abilities:
  • Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with customers, management and coworkers.
  • Basic computer skills including but not limited to the use of the Point of Sales System; the payroll program and all other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.
  • Ability to give change accurately..
