A great job-and a great future-awaits you! #BuddigProud #BuddigCareersJOB SUMMARY:The parts clerk main responsibility is to ensure parts are accounted for, communicate with the Maintenance team on what parts are needed ensuring that there are always parts in stock to run our business.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain bill of materials (BOM) records and materials requirement planning MRP software, includes system maintenance for production posting errors.
- Maintain parts inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing bins, binning new parts, and recording the location, conducting perpetual bin audits, and maintain special order bins.
- Warehouse/Stockroom Inventory Cycle Counts
- Analyze data to make replenishment decisions.
- Utilize internal computer program to issue, return, process parts/tooling from stock.
- Issue purchase orders/requisition materials as needed for all departments for various in-plant and non-production items.
- Request for quotations (RFQ) and compile bid information.
- Work with various departments on special project requests/needs including any materials needed for test products or materials.
- Daily contact with Receiving, Scheduling, Production, and Accounts Payable Departments to ensure responsibilities are met.
- Involvement in monthly inventory process including making system adjustments.
- Deliver parts to technicians or part recipient.
- Immediately notify MRO purchaser of damaged parts or shortages.
- Maintain proper housekeeping conditions of the warehouse facilities, ensure security of the building and inventory, the safety of associates working or visiting the areas.
- In performing day-to-day, routine tasks, follows established guidelines.
- In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
- Parts receiving, labeling, and putting away stock orders.
- Manual parts requests.
- Ability to sustain a high level of activity, prioritize and perform a variety of tasks.
- Tracking and coordinating returns of parts defects and mis-ships
- Parts transfers of all transactions completed.
- Assist planner with kitting PM and WO parts.
- Operate Forklift or Power walker is a plus.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, OTHER KEY WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Lifting requirements of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
- Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day.
- Must be able to work 40 hours or more per week.
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary, including weekends.
- Must be able to frequently go up and down stairs.
- Must have good hand eye coordination.
- Must be able to work in a high-speed environment.
- Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of job as needed (i.e. bending, stooping, squatting, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, crouching, standing, sitting).
- Must be able to inspect materials using sensory abilities.
- Must be able to communicate efficiently and professionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Must be proficient in using a MRP system.
- Must have knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
- Must have hands on experience of inventory control knowledge/best practices.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in business preferred.
- 1-2-year related work experience preferred.
- Self-motivated - be able to work without supervision.
- Ability to evaluate and solve problems.
- Must be in good standing with the company.
- Experience with Asset or Maintenance Management Software Systems is preferred (CMMS).
- Flexible - schedule is subject to change.
- Must be able to work holidays, nights, and weekends.
