The Facility Parts Purchaser & Inventory Agent is responsible for ensuring that all the products are reliable, meet the quality standards of this facility and are cost efficient. The Facility Parts Purchaser & Inventory Agent is responsible for maintaining and updating inventory records on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. The following is a list of responsibilities and expectations assigned to the position. See the General Manager for any questions.Requirements
- Train on SQF, GMPs and HACCP at hiring and re-train annually. Ensure the GMPs are always followed.
- Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services.
- Select the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and determine purchase needs.
- Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices, if needed or asked to do so by Maintenance manager
- Prepare and process purchase orders.
- Prepare and send requisition forms with proper approval and receipts to the Accounts Payable department.
- Maintain records of all transactions, purchase orders, and receipts.
- Schedule and verify purchase deliveries.
- Maintain and update records for parts inventory.
- Track current inventory levels for all parts in your department.
- Resolve discrepancies between physical inventory counts and computer records.
