Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts and accessories.
  • Process orders and handle returns efficiently.
  • Maintain organized inventory and assist with stock management.
  • Provide technical support and advice regarding parts compatibility.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to fulfill parts requests.
  • Manage requests and distribution of parts to internal, retail, and wholesale customers.
  • Ensure timely ordering and stocking of parts in collaboration with the Parts Manager.
  • Handle customer complaints courteously and professionally.
  • Keep up to date on manufacturer warranty policies and return procedures.
  • Implement and comply with safety regulations.
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using the correct pricing sources.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in an automotive parts counter position preferred; 1 year required. Previous experience in automotive retail or dealership environments is a plus.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive-related coursework or certification is a plus.
  • Automotive Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive systems and parts; familiarity with Ford parts preferred.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively assist customers and resolve issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage inventory, maintain accurate records, and process orders efficiently.
  • Multitasking Ability: Capable of handling multiple customers and tasks under pressure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software; familiarity with Reynolds and Reynolds software is a plus.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments.
  • Bilingual: Being bilingual is a plus but not required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy parts without assistance. (up to 50 lbs.).
  • License/Certification: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Additional Considerations:

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays as needed.
  • Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays as needed.
