Job DetailsJob LocationNAPA SHOP - Yoakum, TXDescriptionThe Parts Counter Sales representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service to NAPA customers by assisting them with their purchases and answeringany automotive product needs and questions. They must also be able to work proactively in a fast-paced environment and complete sales transactions effectively and accurately.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism to all store customers
  • Assist both retail and wholesale customers with their auto parts questions and needs, either in person, via the telephone, or through online ordering
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other purchasing transactions
  • Operate the store point of sale system (TAMS) to search for parts and customer accounts, and to invoice and pull orders
  • Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery
  • Operate the electronic and paper cataloging system to retrieve up to date parts information
  • Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance at all times.
  • Sorts, counts, packages, labels, verifies count, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received in inventory software program
  • Responsible for all parts transfers between service locations, as requested by the Management team
  • Perform cycle count of inventory on a bimonthly basis per established policies and procedures
  • Responsible for knowledge/understanding of service parts/product identification.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must have computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Must have financially sound judgment to handle and transport valuable parts
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with parts inventory a plus
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk stairs and/or climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
