Parts Room AdministratorCategory OperationsPosition Parts Room AdministratorDescriptionESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Parts ordering and maintaining inventoryInputting invoicesReceiving parts and updating inventory records. Stocking items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves;Updating the inventory systemSupply Shop Mechanics with PartsReceives returned items by inspecting items; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged items to supplierEnsure the shop is in good order and in accordance with all safety requirementsCommunicate and maintain a positive relationship with all vendors and customersParticipates in all training programs that are made available.Keeps current on new products and product updatesOversees unit developmentOther duties as assignedPosition RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or EquivalentPrior Parts Room experienceThis job works closely with the software program TMW. Must have good computer skills and be adaptable to the rapidly changing environment of the shop.Experience with heavy duty trucks, trailers and heavy equipment partsComfortable working in a fast paced team environment.Strong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication skills between vendors, mechanics, and other employeesTrack inventory of Eversource gas stock received and maintaining recordsTrack inventory of Feeney Brothers tools, equipment and maintaining recordsBudgeting tool and yard purchasesKeeping general order, organization, neatness of yard, garage, and officeMonitor the maintenance of the buildingCreate overhead POs with manager approvalIdeally have a 2A hoisters license to load trucks and equipment at yardFork lift license requiredSalaryReq Number OPE-24-00002Location SpringfieldEOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
