Parts Runner - Gray Manufacturing Company : Job Details

Gray Diesel & Equipment Services in Lexington, SC, is looking for a dependable and motivated Parts Runner to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for picking up parts from local vendors and bringing them back to the shop. Additionally, you'll assist with various tasks around the shop to help maintain a clean and organized work environment.Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver parts and supplies between vendors and the shop.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop, including sweeping, emptying trash, and cleaning equipment.
• Assist mechanics by organizing tools, stocking supplies, and preparing work areas.
• Help with inventory management by restocking parts and tracking shop supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a diesel service center or similar automotive environment is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge or experience with heavy-duty truck or automotive parts is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Customer service-oriented mindset, with the ability to interact positively with others.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to assist wherever needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, push/pull, grasp, pinch, and lift up to 100 lbs. in a shop environment.
• Ability to safely lift and carry heavy parts up to 10 feet.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a shop environment.
