SUMMARYThis position provides customer assistance to the service department by researching, pricing, locating, and delivery of parts.

- Understand and interpret walk-in and telephone customer parts requests.
- Make high value recommendations to customers relating to parts and service needs.
- Maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with both established and new customers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of company products, services, and parts including the costs of each.
- Complete all necessary transaction documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Fill parts orders for shop and field technicians that may require determining the correct part and/or part numbers by using DBS, CDK, company software and other information resources.
- Order parts from manufacturers or outside vendors by preparing purchase orders and other appropriate purchase documents.
- Process return parts from service department or customers issuing credit memos and restocking parts.
- Keep service department informed on the status of any back ordered items.
- Assist service department in preparing quotes by researching and pricing parts.
- Operates lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to trucks, storage, or work areas.
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS- Assist in other department activities as assigned by the supervisor.
- May be required to work overtime.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

JOB SCOPEThis position serves in the capacity of the Parts Sales I. General discretion and judgment are exercised routinely in the execution of job duties. If errors in judgment or professional execution of responsibilities are made, the consequences to the to the department can be serious.

This position regularly deals with employees and customers in exchange of information in person, writing, via telephone or by electronic transfer.
