The Parts Support Specialist is an integral member of the Corporate Parts Team, supporting TECs 25+ locations with over $300M in annual parts revenue. This role is responsible for executing key tasks in the system of record to ensure accuracy of parts information, managing the parts vendor return and cross-site leveling processes, filing and reconciling vendor rebates, as well as creating meaningful and actional reporting in support of TECs HD truck parts business.

The person in this position must have strong attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical skills, proficiency with MS office applications, and embody TECs core values of Teamwork, Entrepreneurship, and Customer Focus.   • Establish a robust returns schedule with appropriate frequency based on business needs and vendor terms.
  • Create and run various reports to identify product eligibility for transfer or return, determine rebate eligibility, facilitate outside sales bonus calculations, report TEC's monthly e-commerce sales, and track TEC's coupon use, promotional efforts, and parts inventory.

  • Validate return eligibility and obtain authorization from vendors based on established terms and conditions.
  • Facilitate the transfer of excess or idle inventory across locations when appropriate versus returning products to vendors.
  • Work with buyers, branch operations and vendors to execute transfers and vendor returns in a timely and accurate manner. Proactively monitor and report on progress/status to ensure all steps of related processes are completed.
  • Act as a single point of escalation for branches and vendors when issues arise. Work with the appropriate parties to resolve return claims, discrepancies or disputes.
  • Submit rebate request to filter vendors following their established business process.
  • Reconcile actual versus requested rebates and match payments on financial statements.
  • Recommend and implement procedures for data cleansing to ensure accuracy and integrity of parts-related information.
  • Make necessary changes to parts related information in the system following a set of established guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the buying team to ensure parts are in the correct sources.
  • Track and report data to monitor compliance with parts data standards.
  • Plan and execute data cleansing initiatives to achieve and maintain the highest quality data.
  • Create online / e-commerce accounts for customers. Act as single point of contact for any issues or escalations with customer logins or password resets.
  • Execute Outside Sales Personnel assignment updates.
  • Refresh market model reporting annually for each TEC location and provide support for ad hoc requests.
  • Bachelors degree in business, procurement, supply chain operations, information systems, finance, economics or other relevant fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years experience in general business, procurement, operations, supply chain management, finance, or other relevant fields preferred.
  • Knowledge of logistics, forward and reverse supply chain practices, vendor management, and supply chain practices.
  • Proficient with computer programs (e.g., MS Office Word and Excel).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to maintain organized files and records.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems leveraging data and information to come to the best conclusion.
  • Ability to effectively present relevant information to a wide audience, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external contacts; ability to work with a variety of personalities and levels of technical proficiency.
  • Ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment at all times.
  • Familiarity with heavy/medium duty transportation equipment industry, including tractors and trailers, parts and service preferred
  • Knowledge of dealership or parts retail operations and CDK dealer management system preferred
