Parttime Tutor - Lionheart Tutoring : Job Details

We are looking for an in-person Part Time Tutor in Reading/Writing and/or Math for K-6, 6-8, or 9-12th grades for our Ardmore, PA office location. Lionheart Tutoring, LLC is a dynamic tutoring company founded by a Fulbright Teaching Fellow and Certified Reading Specialist that offers tutoring in a variety of subjects from K-12. As demand for tutoring has increased, we are looking for new tutors to meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction one-on-one for students in our Ardmore office.
• Follow our approach to tutoring and provide homework for students to strengthen their skills.
• Speak with clients as they drop off and/or pick up their students.
• Potentially develop curriculum for our reading, writing, and math programs.

Qualifications:

• Certification in the grades and subjects that wish to be taught (or a B.A./M.S. Degree in that subject)
• Three Background Checks within Past Year: Federal (FBI), State (PA Childline) and State (PA Police Criminal Background Check)
• Past experience as a tutor or classroom instructor preferred.
• Ability to teach multiple grades levels and subjects preferred.
• Experience in teaching decoding and phonics preferred for reading/writing tutors.

Compensation:

• Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Paid training will be provided for new employees.
